The Six Nations Living History Project was conceived as an extension to the Digital Archive Collections of the Six Nations Public Library funded in part by the Cultural Strategic Investment Fund (CSIF) of The Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
The Project seeks to gain digital footage of Six Nation community members in order to produce a recorded “Living History” of the community as seen from varied perspectives and points in time.
The collection, started in the autumn of 2013, is ongoing throughout 2014 and the foreseeable future. Collected materials will be made available for viewing by Library patrons at the Six Nations Public Library facility, and eventually to the broad public through the library’s online Digital Collections.
